The 7th Annual Dog Days Concert in Taos, New Mexico is coming this August! Enjoy classic rock and fun all for a good cause.

The Dog Days concert in Taos started back in 2009, when a woman bought a raffle ticket that won her a free concert by local band Bone Orchard. She wanted to share the concert and raise money for a good cause. The first Dog Days concert raise over $4,000 for the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter. Last year, the event was able to earn $32,000.

The Stray Hearts Animal Shelter works to "ensure all animals a life that is free of suffering and pain by educating people on proper animal care, by speaking out against animal cruelty, and offering prevention of unwanted animals through spay/neutering." Their mission is to have every work together to help homeless dogs and cats in the Taos community.

The 7th Annual Dogs Days Concert is August 13th and features classic rock from Firefall and Citizen Dan, a Steely Dan tribute Band. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the concerts are from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $20 at the door.
