Today is an unofficial holiday for beer lovers all around the United States. Back in 1933, today was the day that Americans could go out and finally buy a beer again legally, as long as it had less than 4% alcohol by volume. It was the first step to the end of the Prohibition. Bars around the US have been preparing for this holiday, by offering specials on our favorite drink.     Beer Variety and Quality Have Never Been Better

    In 2014, there were 3,418 craft brewers in the United States according to the Brewer's Association. That is a 20% increase from the previous year. The production of craft beer increased 42% from last year and craft beer sales now account for 10% of all beer sales in America.

    Now, there are classes in college where you can take home brewing as an elective! And many American have made home brewing a fun and different hobby to enjoy.     Mass produced brands of beer have been steadily declining over the past few years, while smaller craft breweries are increasing their sales and the demand for such style beers has steadily increasing. In 2012, Texans only drank 1% of those Texas craft beers, and it has now increased to 1.36% in 2013. The number continues to go up. This is also good for the Texas economy, making more jobs for Texans.
