31 Days of Horror Films for Halloween – Scary Movies You May or May Not Have Seen – Day 1: The Sentinel

October is my favorite month, for a couple of reasons. One of which is Halloween, and all the embracing of scary and evil movies, books and more! I love scary movies, and will watch one whenever I get the chance. Here is my October 1st pick for a good scary movie you might not have seen:

The Sentinel (1977)

The 70's were great for scary movies, giving us classics like The Exorcist, The Omen, The Last House on the Left and more. Yeah, the production was cheesy a lot of times, the pacing slow, the costumes kind of wonky. But the filmmakers of the time really used your imagination against you to build some tension and scare the bejeezus out of people.

Check out this cool film, featuring Burgess Meredith, appearances from Jeff Goldblum, and Tom Berenger's first  ever line in a movie! Great creeps, tons of weird old people...what more do you want in a creepy old film?
