31 Days of Horror Films for Halloween Day 5 – Three Extremes

Today, we're leaving American shores for the far east and Three Extremes. A collection of three short films that are (to say the least) incredibly disturbing. If you see the names Takashi Miike or Chan-wook Park as the director of a film, it's a good sign that it will be amazing. Dumplings, Cut and Box are the three films, and are wildly different stories, but all seriously messed up.

Three Extremes (2004)

Dumplings gets things started with an insanely gross story of what some people will do to stay beautiful as long as possible. If you are easily, or even moderately easily, disturbed, you might want to skip this one. You won't believe what the dumplings are made of. Cut is my favorite, but definitely an odd story. A disgruntled actor holds a director and his wife hostage and tortures them. The Box wraps things up with disturbing memories of a woman about her dead twin sister. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
