I came home this afternoon to a huge surprise. A brand new phone book called the Yellow Pages. To be honest, I have never used an actual phone book in my entire life. I decide to open it and explore. To my surprise there was a lot of mistakes. Don't worry because using google will do just fine. Just type in the business name you are looking for and boom, a number and address will appear.

1. KLAQ is not listed in the category 'Radio Stations & Broadcast Companies.' If you need the number to the business office just dial 915-544-9550. If you want to make a request or win a contest, the number is 915-880-4955. We encourage you to leave a message for the Buzz Adams Morning Show by calling the Neck Line at 915-521-NECK (6325)

2. Only 1 Gentlemen's Club is listed. I've never even heard of this club. The new phone book doesn't even mention the best Gentlemen's Club in El Paso. The Red Parrot. I know by personal experience that there is at least 5 others in El Paso.

3. The Telephone Directory doesn't have a list of people's name, address and phone number. It's only used for businesses. I found this out because wikipedia says,'Subscriber names are generally listed in alphabetical order, together with their postal or street address and telephone number.' Did everyone in El Paso exclude their phone numbers?

I honestly don't know why we even get these telephone books. People can just google the number or call the phone operator, to get the number they are trying to look for. I say it's time El Paso bans the phone book to save trees and our enviroment.

One last thing. What is a party line? I hear older people talking about it all the time.
