I found an article online about these two former Marines, Adam Shatarsky and Chris Senopole, that wanted to do something for the rest of their brothers and sisters in the military. The fact they are braving desert heat right now in the Coachella Valley is what made me want to support them but when I saw why they were doing this, I knew I had to support them. The two American heroes are walking across America to raise awareness about the Wounded Warriors Project. They are looking for donations to support them on their walk but all other proceeds are going to The Wounded Warriors Project. On their website they state their cause:

This project is dedicated to the brave individuals who have served our Country. We are two former Marines, Adam Shatarsky and Chris Senopole, who recently separated from the military and now want to serve our Brothers and Sisters in Arms. Our walk will pay homage to those who fought and are still fighting. The proceeds from this website will be used to fund our amazing journey, while all remaining funds raised will be donated to The Wounded Warrior Project.
Our walk will begin at Camp Pendleton on June 15th 2013, we will cover roughly 2700 miles with a target end date of October 1st 2013. We will have constant updates and status trackers so you can follow our journey!
Thank you!!!!

As of this evening, they are traveling through Palm Springs, CA and unfortunately not be traveling through El Paso, TX. With the heat, I figure that is most likely the best option for them. In this heat, I don't think it would be the best option. But that does not mean you still cant support these two American heroes on their journey to raise awareness for a great cause. If you would like to donate to Adam and Chris, you can give donations ranging from $5 to $1,000 by click here. You also have the option to make this a monthly donation as well, so even if you forget, your money will still be able to go to this amazing cause.
