A Fort Worth jury has found a Mexican man and his cousin guilty of plotting to kill a Texas lawyer who was acting head of a Mexican drug cartel.

The jury deliberated 1 1/2 days. Jesus Gerardo Ledezma-Cepeda and Jose Luis Cepeda-Cortes were found guilty of interstate stalking and conspiracy to commit murder for hire. Juan Guerrero Chapa was shot to death in 2013.

Federal prosecutors say the cousins used video cameras and a GPS device to track Chapa before he died from a hail of bullets in a Fort Worth shopping center parking lot. The men were given the orders from a Beltran Leyva cartel member known as El Gato.

Authorities are still looking for the person who gunned down Chapa.
