A new list came out of the best places to live in the US and a whopping 10 Texas cities made the cut! Find out which ones, and what cities nearby. We all know that the Lone Star state is an amazing place settled down and raise a family. From all the outdoor activities, great cuisine and nonstop entertainment, the rest of the country is realizing what a great place this is to live! US News came out with a new report showing what they believe are the top 125 best places to live in the United States where they analyzed the 125 most populous places to see where you should hang your hat. Apparently, there must be something in the water of this state because Texas had a 10 cities on the list! Not only that, but some nearby areas made appearances as well, showing how the entire region is flourishing and people are taking notice. Here are the cities in Texas that made the list and where they came in at:

Austin may be weird but the state's capitol made an biggest impression of all with all the outdoor activities, great food and the overall culture. Austin is any music lover's dream with all the outdoor festivals and concert venues so it's no surprise this lovely city came out at the top.

Plenty of attractions but definitely moving at a slower pace then other Texas spots, San Antonio offers exactly what you need. No matter what it is! Over 50 major events happen in the city every year, plus with Six Flags and Sea World you even get the big theme parks that larger cities boast.

This is a city we all love, because of the way you can enjoy the big city life, but the country roots of the state all at the same time. Plenty of major league sports happening year-round and even theme parks and other great attractions mingled in, Dallas is a great place to call home.

The city of Houston is a great place to go and find a job in oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing and more! Not to mention the cost of living is better here than in other major Texas cities. Plus, there's a bar in the city that has Monkey Drag Queen Bingo and we feel that's something everyone should check out at least once in their life.

Home to Fort Hood, one of the largest military bases in the country, Kileen has made a name for itself as a great place to go and raise your family.

Welcome to the beautiful beach of Texas! You don't have to travel to California to enjoy the water activities and fishing. Corpus Christi gives it to you right here in the Lone Star state. You can even keep your cowboy hat on while you do.

This city gives you plenty of Texas charm but also only a couple hours away fro whatever weekend activities you desire. Head into Houston for the nightlife, Louisiana for cajun or south for the shore and you can still enjoy the other great things the state has to offer!

This border town is another mecca of international charm and trade for the state. Due to the mild winters in the city, many snowbirds flock to the city to enjoy the heat while the rest of the country freezes up north.
