These 10 Onstage Accidents are not for the faint of heart. In this compilation of live shows gone wrong, most of these musicians ended up with serious injuries thanks to various misfires which occurred mid-performance.

Onstage mishaps, or "Spinal Tap moments" happen all the time. Murphy's Law has struck every performer at one time or another, but these are some of the most extreme cases.

Let's start off with Metallica frontman James Hetfield. During a live performance, Metallica's insane magnesium-based pyro that burns at well over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit engulfed Hetfield, which left the thrash legend with incredibly serious injuries. In a less serious flame-based accident, you'll also see KISS' Gene Simmons accidentally light his hair while blowing fire onstage. Simmons needed to be put out by a stage hand.

You'll also see the onstage electrocution of Emmure vocalist Frankie Palmeri, who took a deadly bolt to the chest thanks to a faulty microphone. Zakk Wylde is also the unfortunate recipient of a brutal onstage injury, having sliced his hand open on the strings of his beloved guitar. Wylde required stitches to close the wound, but finished the show in top form while splashing his own blood into the audience for good measure.

Perhaps the most famous onstage accident was delivered by the Who. While performing on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, the band added too much pyro in Keith Moon's bass drum, causing a massive explosion which left various members with shrapnel wounds and permanent hearing damage.
